Yes, professional photography can be expensive! As someone who has been on both sides of the camera I would love to explain to you why photos can be so pricey. When you hire a photographer, you are not hiring someone to tell you to smile and then click a button, you are hiring an artist who has studied their craft for many years, and over the years has developed an in depth understanding of light, composition, posing, story telling, camera mechanics, editing softwares, angles, and creating a safe space for clients. I always say a photographer is first and foremost an emotional facilitator, aka someone who can quickly connect with people and make them feel comfortable showing their vulnerable and authentic emotions in front of a camera and make them look amazing while doing so. On top of all this being a photographer is expensive! Professional Camera gear costs upwards of 10k on average, we have to pay for this all somehow :). Think of booking a professional photographer as an investment in the preservation of the special memories during this time in your life. These photos will last forever, and you will be able to look back on them with a smile and warm heart, and have a tangible reminder of moments you want to last forever. .
